Main responsibilities:
1. Provide “hands-on” technical support to FOM (Shanghai)’s assembly process and purchasing department, as well as support Chinese customers. MUST BE WILLING TO BE INVOLVED AND GET “HANDS DIRTY”.
2. Understand the complete machine assembly and the individual components in order to answer questions for purchasing, assembly, and customers.
3. Supervise FOM (Shanghai)’s production process.
4. Review drawings for completeness and translate text to Mandarin.
5. Suggest (and justify) design changes in order to save costs but not affect the performance or integrity of the equipment.
6. Assist purchasing department to draft technical and quality documents, communicate and coordinate with purchasing department.
7. Travel to customer’s plant site for installation, start-up, and service of equipment.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, more than 5 years experience in large-scale equipment design, familiar with castings, weldments, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical items.
2. 3 years of experience working in a rubber plant finishing line
3. Strong knowledge in design process, materials, management, and evaluation.
4. Good English competency in both speaking and writing.
5. Good communication with both internal and external customers.
6. Target oriented, good logic skills, excellent market insight.
7. Responsible, active and a team player
8. Able to work in a challenging environment, execute a plan and handle pressure.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Autocad, and Solidworks required.

职位要求：
1. 机械设计工程本科以上学历，具有五年以上大型设备设计施工经验，并且熟悉金属铸件，焊接件以及发动机，变速箱等机械零部件
2. 三年合成橡胶后处理工厂的工作经验
3. 在生产工艺，原材料，管理和评估方面有丰富的经验
4. 熟练的英语说写能力
5. 与内部和外部的客户能进行良好的沟通
6. 强烈的目标性，逻辑思维能力强，具备优秀的市场洞察力和敏感度
7. 敬业负责，工作积极主动，具备团队合作精神
8. 敢于迎接挑战，执行能力强，能承受较大的工作压力
9. 能熟练应用Word, Excel, Outlook等办公软件及机械设计软件Autocad 和 Solidworks

FOM (Shanghai) Company, Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The French Oil Mill Machinery Company (“French”) based in the USA. French was founded in 1900 and has recently established FOM (Shanghai) in Pudong.
For the past 50 years French has been the world’s leading supplier of mechanical screw presses for the synthetic rubber industry. French has several installations in China’s synthetic rubber industry serving some of the largest Petrochemical companies in the world.
FOM (Shanghai) has an immediate need for a sourcing engineer to purchase and oversee the inspection of its’ technical components. Components will include large castings and weldments, gears, gearboxes, large motors, bearings, machining, and many other technical items.
