The only way I found to cut a trode for 2d orbit in Mastercam is to use bull mills and lie to Mastercam and reduce the diameter twice the amount of the USPS. The only drawback is the size of the bull mill doesn’t fit well on really small detail where we would use a .015 or less ball mill to get into cavities. When we run into the real fine detail we use 3d orbit with negative stock or redraw it with the 2d offset. Usually we end up using the 3d orbit on complex fine detail because the time it takes to redraw the trode takes longer than the extra time in the EDM for spherical orbiting.
